Business and Vocational College

Based in rural Mityana, this venture for Nkuru-Nziza Foundation opened its doors to students in 2018 and incorporates a Project-Based Learning style for the various vocational courses on offer, as well as having the Whole-Brain Approach to Teaching and Learning at the heart of its ethos.

Nkuru-Nziza undertakes a number of community development initiatives, and has the twin foci of poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability at its heart.

Microfinance

Launched in July 2015, the Missing Link microfinance project takes place in a small rural area of Mityana district, Uganda, and provides local residents with the financial opportunity to realise their dreams.

Acholi community

The Acholi community in Kampala is made up of members of the Acholi tribe who fled their tribal homelands in the early 1990’s due to the terror being caused in the area by the rebel group ‘The Lord’s Resistance Army’. They fled to Kampala to seek refuge, and have never returned, for many reasons.
