St David’s College in Llandudno, has been the starting point
of a link forged between Llandudno and Kampala. The aim of this link is
to bring young people together and create opportunities to give young people
from the UK a chance to experience life, and be able to offer assistance
to some of the poorest communities in Africa.
The programme takes young people into refugee and orphanage communities, equipping people with skills for improving their quality of life. Our young people are involved in sharing their skills, from brick laying and digging to creative expression and activity. In return our young people have their values challenged at a critical stage in their lives when they are involved in life making decisions.
Expanding beyond Wales and Uganda the programme brings young people together from across the UK and extends into Rwanda.
