Arriving early June in the Paradise of East Coast Kenya.....

Gav quickly moves from a luxury hotel to live in a village in order to meet the people, teach in the local school...

and set of at 4.30 am one day and trek through the bush, wade across a river...

to be guest of honour and main speaker at a local rural political meeting...

and play football in a local charity match...

and have a goat BBQd in his honour!

After 3 weeks of heavy negotiation and being an obstinate Muzungu he achieves the release of our 2 4x4 MPVs from the Port of Mombassa and leads his team to drive them across Kenya in time for delivery at The Link centre in Kampala ready for the St David's College Team's arrival 0n 9th July

The drive across kenya was demanding and full of surprises, not least the border crossing!

After a gruelling 2 day drive Gavin and his Kenyan team deliver the vehicles safely at John's centre just before the end of June

...only for the vehicles to be impounded in Kampala for a week while more frustrating negotiations take place to get the vehicles registered in Uganda

Gavin's next challenge is to restore the centre's boda-boda!

The next 3 weeks are spend driving up and down Uganda transporting our various young people to and from their destinations
